YourLink Technical Support - Access YourLink Mail in Windows Live™ Mail
Windows Live™ Mail makes it easier to send photos and slide shows through email, and to check email from many popular email services such as Yahoo! and Hotmail.
To set up a YourLink Mail acccount in Windows Live™ Mail for sending and receiving emails:
Open Windows Mail
Select 'Tools'
From the drop down menu select 'Accounts'
Select 'Add' button from the cluster of buttons on the right.
Select 'E-mail Account', click next
Enter the display name that you wish to use, click next
Enter your email address from YourLink, click next
Select 'POP3' for 'Incoming e-mail server type'
Type in 'mail.yourlink.ca' for both the Incoming and Outgoing fields.
Make sure that 'Outgoing server requires authentication' is left unchecked.
Click next
Enter your username (if your email is johnsmith@yourlink.ca, then your username is johnsmith. Be sure not use capitals.
Enter your password that you chose when speaking to a YourLink representative. Click next and....
You are done! Windows Live™ Mail should be now properly configured for use with your YourLink email address.
Note: If you ever suspect an issue with your email account, please visit the WebMail login page (select from our navigation menu at the top of the page) and test your account with the WebMail. Sending yourself an email via the webmail will demonstrate that the email is working correctly.
